Moving???

We have been thinking of moving...  we found a house we like - exactly what we want, but the thought of sellng our house, packing up and moving is a totally daunting thought.  When you live 18 years in one house with 4 kids it is amazing the things you accumulate in every nook and crany of the house.  I am working on getting our current house ready to go on the market, with the thought that if we do decide to make an offer on the new house we will be that much closer to having it ready...  but it is soooo much work.  So far Brennah's room and Trevor's rooms are the only rooms ready to go.  I plan to finish up Mac's tonight and do some more work on our bedroom and bathroom...  We should know more tomorrow....

Today

Dixie did good today on the potty training...  no accidents, even when Brandi came over for work.  Yay! 

The Friends softball team had their trip to Oklahoma City cancelled last weekend and their trip to Jackson, MS cancelled for this weekend.  So far they have had 7 games cancelled due to the snow.  The coach has scheduled a tournament for next weekend in Dallas.

I'm going to look at a house tomorrow...  If I like it,then the rest of the family will take a look.  I'm torn about moving.  I really feel that we could find a house that is better suited to our family, but I really don't want to go through the pain of moving...  The thought of selling our house and all that goes into that is daunting...

We told the little kids that they could not come out of their rooms until 7 in the mornings.  Mac has been getting up earlier and earlier and going down to watch t.v. in the mornings, then his behavior suffers in the afternoon - he is not happy...

Trevor was cleaning a gun and did not check to make sure it was empty of bullets...  the gun went off and shot a hole in our bathroom and through the shower.  I thank God that there was not any one around to be injured.  It has really shook him up, as it should.  Hopefully this will be a wake up call that he is not invincible and that he needs to exercise extreme caution when handling guns.

Another Snow Day

Yet another snow day this year... 5 so far.  The snow was so pretty coming down yesterday - big fluffy flakes with no wind...  at least for a while, then the wind picked up and the flakes were so small you couldn't pick one out from the next.  It is really cold once again...  this warm/cold/warm/cold cycle is getting old...

The kids are actually being fairly quiet today so I can work.  That is a nice change - they are usually arguing and just generally being noisy.

The new puppy is good - Dixie...  she is mostly potty trained, just tiddles when she gets too excited by a new face in the house.
